Thank you so much for your interest in enrolling in the San Francisco Girls Chorus for the upcoming 2023-24 school year!
We look forward to having your singer join us for the upcoming season.
To ensure that singers are placed in the correct ensemble based on their age and skill level, we ask that they participate in a Singing Placement prior to enrolling in the upcoming season.
Singing placements will take place June 10–16, 2023, according to campus location, and are open to singers ages 6-15.

What is the San Francisco Girls Chorus School?
The San Francisco Girls Chorus School offers a program of unparalleled artistic and educational excellence, designed to train and inspire girls ages 4-16 in the art of choral singing through a comprehensive choral, vocal, and music theory curriculum.
This curriculum includes the study and development of choral artistry, vocal technique, music theory, music history, and performing style.
The Chorus School’s six levels annually serve more than 330 young singers from 140 schools in 45 Bay Area cities and all 9 Bay Area counties.
What are the different chorus school Programs?
The Chorus School is comprised of six levels: non-auditioned Prep Chorus, Training Chorus, and Levels I-IV, which choristers move through as they develop musically. Choristers spend an average of two years in each level. The carefully structured training stages are designed specifically to increase technical skills, stamina and discipline in accordance with each chorister’s age and physical development.

Bayview-Hunters Point, San Francisco
Emeryville, East Bay
Successful completion of the Chorus School Training Program provides the singers with a beginning college-level knowledge of choral repertoire, vocal technique, and music theory. Upon graduation from Level IV, singers have the opportunity to audition for the PREMIER ENSEMBLE - SFGC's acclaimed, GRAMMY Award-winning concert, recording, and touring ensemble.
How do I join the sFGC Chorus school?
Information about Fall 2023 enrollment at each of our campuses in San Francisco and Emeryville for Fall 2023 will be available in March.
Singing placements will take place June 10–16, 2023, and are open to singers ages 6-15.
