The San Francisco Girls Chorus Premier Ensemble will join Afternoon of Ideas.
Afternoon of Ideas returns with a family-friendly experience designed to welcome youth into the spirit of the event. Through hands-on workshops, playful performances, and creative activities led by artists, educators, and children’s book authors, the daytime program invites curiosity, play, and intergenerational exchange.
47th Annual Performance and Gala
Join us for the 47th Annual Gala! This festive evening at the historic San Francisco War Memorial Building will include SFGC Alum Michele Kennedy and our very own Premier Ensemble and Concert Group performing in the Herbst Theater followed by a gala reception in the Green Room. There will be a short live auction with one-of-a-kind experiences and Fund-A-Need to ensure that every young singer is able to access SFGC’s transformative music education programs.

Shulman’s stellar trio will be joined on stage by members of the fabulous San Francisco Girls Chorus.

Members of SFGC’s Concert Group joins the cast of SF Opera’s Carmen as part of the children’s choir. Jealousy and obsession lead to fatal consequences in Francesca Zambello’s production in which matadors bump shoulders with factory workers in the heat of Seville.
Bizet’s evocative score features some of the most recognizable music in opera, brought to life by conductor Benjamin Manis.
